Checking a crash cart means verifying expiry dates and lot numbers across every item in the drawer — and the information isn’t always presented in the same way.

Some items carry the full data set in a barcode, some carry only a product number, and others require information to be read directly from the printed label.

IntraPosition’s Crash Cart Management solution now uses computer vision to simplify this process. Staff can point a phone camera at each item as they move through the drawer, while the system reads the available information and records it directly in the cart audit.
