THE CHALLENGE
Supply rooms still run on paper and memory.
Hours lost to counting
Staff spend shift time counting bins and placing orders instead of caring for patients.
Counting
Empty when needed
A missed count means an empty bin when a clinician needs it, then a costly rush order.
Stockouts
Expired on the shelf
Without trustworthy data, departments hoard supplies and printed labels fall out of date.
Overstock
Staff walk the shelves, judge what is low by eye and re-key it later. Every miscount becomes a rush order or a bin of expired stock.
HOW IT WORKS
Two bins. One tap.
Every product lives in two bins. When the first one empties, staff tap its label and keep working from the second.
01
Take from the first bin
Staff take supplies from the first bin as always. Every bin has its own address and label.
02
Tap when it empties
One press flips the label to Out of stock and puts the bin on order. No scanning or typing.
03
Switch to the second bin
The second bin covers demand while the system builds, sends and tracks the order.
04
Refill and restock
The delivery is recorded with quantity, expiry and lot, and the bin returns to In stock.

ELECTRONIC SHELF LABELS
A live label
on every bin.
Each label shows the product, SKU, bin address, quantity and live status, with a button to report the bin empty. Labels fit Pegasus Medical Concepts high-density two-bin racks.

One-tap ordering
One press flips the label to Out of stock and sends the update to the inventory system.
Updates in seconds
Rename a product or reorganize a shelf and hundreds of labels update at once. No reprinting.
LED pick-to-light
A built-in LED blinks in one of 7 colors to guide staff to the right bin when restocking.
7-year battery life
Each label’s battery, signal and last update are visible in field diagnostics.

CAPABILITIES
Everything your
supply room needs.
Scheduled ordering
Depleted bins collect into one order per warehouse and go out on the unit’s own schedule.
Urgent orders and alerts
When a product runs out completely, an urgent order goes out and recipients get an email and SMS.
ERP and WMS integration
Orders flow to your ERP or warehouse system over an API, and deliveries report back.
One web app for nursing, supply chain and storeroom teams, on any workstation, tablet or phone.
Pick, scan and close
Print pick lists, then close each line with a GS1 scan that records quantity, expiry and lot.
Expiry and lot tracking
Expiry, lot and GTIN are kept per bin, so recalled or expiring stock is quick to find.
Visual unit builder
Model every rack, basket and bin, or import a whole unit from a CSV or Excel file.

ANALYTICS
Every tap
becomes data.
Consumption reports for any date range show what is used, where, and how much shelf space each item really needs.

Recommended PAR
PAR levels set from real consumption and how often each unit is replenished.
Fast movers flagged
Items likely to run out before the next order arrives are flagged early.
Overstock and slow movers
Spot stock that sits idle and expires on the shelf, by unit and product.
Free up space
A relocation plan gives shelf space to the items that keep running out.

Nor-Lea Hospital.
Nor-Lea District Hospital moved to two-bin kanban on high-density Pegasus Medical Concepts racks with EZ-Swipe cards, starting in nursing and the emergency room. Jewish General Hospital in Montreal runs RFID-enabled smart racking too. Read their stories.
WHY INTRAPOSITION
One tap your teams will actually use.
Smart inventory is built around how supply rooms really work, so the tap becomes part of taking the last item, not an extra task.

FAQ
Smart inventory management FAQs
Can’t see your question here? Our team will happily walk you through it.
01
What is smart inventory management?
It replaces manual counts with a two-bin kanban system. Staff tap an Electronic Shelf Label when a bin empties, and the system builds, sends and tracks the reorder.
02
How do the shelf labels work?
Each label is a digital display with a button and an LED, run from a central server. It shows the product, SKU, bin address, quantity and live status, and updates wirelessly.
03
Do we still need to print labels?
No. Product details are changed centrally in the app and pushed to the labels in seconds, so labels never need to be printed or replaced by hand.
04
Does it work with our ERP?
Yes. Your ERP or warehouse system pulls new orders over an API and reports deliveries back. Orders can also go out by email, SMS or an Excel attachment.
05
What if a product runs out?
An urgent order goes out within a delay you set, from 30 minutes to 24 hours, and the unit’s recipients get an email and SMS.
06
Can we start without labels?
Yes. Label type is chosen per storage unit, so a unit can start with EZ-Swipe RFID cards and move to Electronic Shelf Labels later.
07
How long do label batteries last?
Up to 7 years. Each label’s battery, signal, temperature and last update are visible in field diagnostics.
